Ashmit Patel is ready to play a very different role on the big screen. Even though it has been nearly three years since Ashmit stepped into tinsel town, he still has to make his mark as an actor. But now Ashmit believes he has signed a movie that will change his onscreen image.
The movie titled ‘The Flag’ has Ashmit playing a villager called Deva who is a very patriotic man. Deva’s life is thrown out of gear when the British forces enter his village. What happens thereafter forms the crux of the film’s story.
Ashmit will be sporting a very rustic look in the film. He will be seen wearing dhotis and kurtas. The movie will be shot in ‘Bhuj’, the place where Aamir Khan’s Lagaan was shot earlier.
