Nagesh Kukunoor has signed John Abraham to play the role of a modern, hi-tech gambler in Nagesh Kukunoor’s next film.
Compulsive punter Rahul (John) discovers new meaning to the words fortune and life as the film unwinds. “John will be seen as a real person in this film and in a way that he’s not been seen before,” says Kukunoor, offering the standard Bollywood formulation for why the “film is different”.
John is also enthused by the project, saying “Nagesh has a great sense of humour and I have marked his great potential in his films. The director always used very real characters, which set him apart from most other directors in Bollywood”.
