Karan Johar signs up Vivek Oberoi for his next big production
Hot on the heels of a successful production of Dostana, filmmaker Karan Johar has now signed up actor Vivek Oberoi for his next film.
As to why he chose an actor that has yet to prove his credibility in Bollywood, Karan responds, "I have chosen Vivek because he suits the role. It’s a good role and he fits the script’s demands. I never cast actors based on their images or perceptions of the industry or the media. Vivek is a good actor and I am confident in his ability to deliver."
But will the Box Office jinx of working with Vivek not worry him, "Not at all. However, I can say that Vivek will have to give 300 per cent. It’s a role that does justice to him. I am sure he will take it seriously," says Karan.
The film is expected to begin shooting in the New Year in and around Philadelphia, USA.
