IIFA 2009 will either go to Ireland or Turkey, decision imminent

Where will next year’s IIFA be held… that is hot question on everyone’s lips.

Ireland were the hot favourites to take the elusive event but now Turkey have put their interest forward also. Says a source, “A Turkish delegation, headed by their Prime Minister was in town vying to hold the Indian International Film Awards (IIFA) Weekend and Awards in their country. They are very interested in hosting IIFA 2009 and the management met up with the delegation, but nothing is finalised."

A decision will be made within weeks.
