Freida plays the female lead in British director Danny Boyle’s upcoming film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. The director has received wide acclaim for past movies like ‘The Beach’ starring Leonardo Di Caprio and ‘Trainspotting’ starring Ewan McGregor. Slumdog Millionaire has already won the Cadillac People’s Choice Award at the Toronto Film Festival and the Audience Choice Award at the Chicago film festival. The buzz is that the film is in the running for an Oscar nomination. This is 23 year old Freida’s first film and her performance has been much appreciated in the west with the media there stating that she is the new talent to watch out for. In the past Freida has anchored a travel show, done television commercials for brands such as Wrigleys chewing gum, Skoda and India Today. She has done print ads for brands such as De Beers, Hutch, Airtel, Visa card etc and has walked the ramp for fashion designers such as Wendell Rodricks. Freida was recently invited to New York to appear as a guest on one of America’s greatest morning shows, ‘The Today Show’.
