Vidya was supposed to star in Aziz Mirza’s film opposite Shahid Kapur, however recently there was talk that the two stars Shahid-Vidya didn’t look compatible onscreen and instead Vidya looked much older. Vidya herself now is unsure about the film and will have to talk to the producers.
Vidya also had to turn down mentor Pradeep Sarkar directed Yash Raj film as the dates were clashing with Heyy Babyy. Another Yash Raj film that Vidya was unable to do was Jhoom Barabar Jhoom again due to date unavailability.
Vidya will also be seen opposite Ajay Devgan in Rajkumar Santoshi’s film Halla Bol. Internationally acclaimed director Deepa Mehta too had approached Vidya to do a film called Stella which is currently on hold. Vidya definitely seems to be very much in demand but the actress tries to remain grounded and also refrains from taking on too many films.
