Indian Box Office: Yuvvraaj flops but Dostana keeps impressing
It is official – Subhash Ghai’s much touted and promoted flick Yuvvraaj has flopped!
The Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer was termed as being the biggest hit of 2008 and a comeback vehicle for director Subhash Ghai, whose last 3 films (Yaadein, Kisna, Black & White) have failed to attract audiences. But, initial figures are pointing towards dismal collections all over India. "Despite all his experience in filmmaking, director Subhash Ghai seems to be out of sync with the changing trends in filmmaking in Bollywood today," a trade analyst said.
On the other hand, last week’s big release Dostana is still managing better than average collections. The coming weeks will witness another clash of 2 biggies, Shah Rukh Khan headlined Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Aamir Khan thriller Ghajini.
