Showman has emereged with his latest magnum opus, ‘Yuvvraaj’. The much-awaited project hits the screens today. Laced with style, eye-pleasing locales of the Europe and good starcast, the enetrprise is out for your viewing. Starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Zayed Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead, this outing has Ghai on various seats ranging from being a producer, director, writer and the editor of this flick.
The story of ‘Yuvvraaj’ is about the circumstances that lead to coming together of three estranged brothers after their father’s death. The movie talks about Deven Yuvvraaj (Salman Khan) who is a choir singer in Prague, who was disowned by his father due to the sibling rivalry he shared with his mentally challenged elder brother, Gyanesh (Anil Kapoor). Deven loves Anoushka (Katrina Kaif) who is the daughter of an affluent doctor, Dr Banton (Boman Irani). Since Deven is not a rich guy (though his father is amnogst the top notch wealthy persons of the UK) because he has left his father, Dr. Banton does not like his daughter to get married with him. Deven father dies leaving his mammoth wealth behind. Sensing the fact that he (Deven) has his share in his proprerty, Deven signs an agreement with Dr Banton that if he becomes a billionaire in 40 days, he could marry his daughter. An emotional roller coaster journey awaits Dev as he sets off to London on his mission to inherit his share from his, now dead, father’s Rs 15000 crore property. But when the will is read out by Skindar Mirza, his fatrher’s lawyer (Mithun Chakrobarty), he and other memebers of the family get a tiny share. All the waelth has been given to Gaynesh (Anil Kapoor) by his father. He then plans, schemes and conspires with his younger brother Danny (Zayed Khan), who he meets after 12 years, to get all the money from Gyanesh. But subsequent chain of events make the three brothers rekindle their affections for each other and make them understand the significance of family bonds. United by love, the brothers fight a plethora of greedy relatives and fulfill their father’s last wish of his family being a united joint family.
The script by Ghai is not new rather we have witnessed it many a times before. Nonetheless it grips the viewers due to the marvelous direction of Subhash Ghai. The music by A R Rahman is brilliant and spongy. The cinematography is a class. Dialogues are well-penned.
The movie belongs to Anil Kapoor who shows his class that he is still as brilliant as he used to be in his young years. Today he looks as fresh as he was years back. Salman Khan is brilliant. Katrina Kaif not only appears gorgeous but also endows the viewers with her well-built performance. Zayed Khan delivers the acting with aplomb. Boman Irani is great to watch. The rest of the cast impresses as well.
On the whole, you can not claim it Subhash Ghai’s best work so far of his long career but the film holds values. The film will see a good opening at the box office.

A spot on review! The film really doesnt have much to offer however strangely doesnt ever feel boring, its a good pass time! It certainly isnt anywhere close to Subhash Ghai’s best offerings in the past like Pardes, but then again it cleverly wasnt over hyped in the promos either, which is good.
Guys i had a real good time watching Yuvvraaj. Anil was superb as usual, Salman as usual lived up to the expectations, Katrina Kaif playing the cello looks awesome n not to forget the beautiful foreign locales and the grand sets
Guys, did u read this interesting piece of news………The legendary painter, M F Hussain is so impressed by Ghai’s latest offering “Yuvvraaj” that not only has he watched it twice in the theatre but has also offered to make a painting on the movie…………..I think people who have not seen Yuvvraaj so far should take note of this and watch ‘Yuvvraaj’
