ZEE TV will be axing ‘Waaris’, barely after three months of launch, according to TellyChakkar.
Confirming the news, ZEE TV programming head Ajay Balwankar told TellyChakker, "Yes, Waaris is going off air but there is still sometime for it to happen. The date of the show’s wind up is uncertain due to the strike. This show was an experiment which did not work. The story was very good but somehow it has not picked up."
There have been rumours aplenty of some friction between the channel and the production house – Smriti Irani. This friction began after the parallel lead Yuvraj Malhotra was sacked by the production house.
