Top Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is being treated in an Indian hospital after suffering from chest pains.
The 36-year-old actor was taken to Lilavati hospital in Mumbai (Bombay) and underwent tests on his heart.
A hospital spokesman said Khan was out of danger but would be kept under observation for up to a week.
The actor has been in about 40 movies and won acclaim for last year’s Omkara, a Bollywood version of William Shakespeare’s Othello.
Local media outlets said Khan had been working hard and could have over-exerted himself.
He is the son of former Indian cricket captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore, a former actress and chief of the country’s censor board.
