The row that sparked earlier this month over the title of ZEE TV’s new social drama ‘Ghar Ki Lakshmi…Betiyaan’ has been resolved.
ZEE had sent a legal notice to rival STAR Entertainment on 7th September 2006, challenging the latter on the ground that it was also producing a show titled ‘Ghar Ki Lakshmi… Betiyaan’.
STAR had countered saying that the writer of the show, Rekha Modi, who is developing the show for STAR, had registered the show a few months before ZEE Telefilms had.
STAR One’s show has now been renamed to ‘Betiyaan Apni Yaa… Paraya Dhan’. It begins in October.
ZEE’s show ‘Ghar Ki Lakshmi… Betiyaan’, will debut on Monday 25th September (India), Monday 16th October (UK).
