Bipasha Basu’s thousands of fans cause headache for filmmaker
Bunty Walia and the production team of Rahul Dholakia’s Lamha are finding it difficult to fence of fans of Bipasha Basu while they shoot the thriller Lamha in Kashmir.
Says Bunty, “Lamha’s shoot in Kashmir could have been much better. Such is the power of Bipasha Basu that every day there’s a mob of 5000-10,000 people coming to watch the shoots. A couple of times, due to miscreants and mischief-mongers, we had to wind up the shoot early.”
Not only that but the production team are facing criticisms for using guns while shooting. Bunty explains, “Though we use dummy guns, the Kashmiris are anxious and gun-sensitive because of the situation there. Lamha has terrorism as the background and this makes the locals anxious. It’s because of the gun culture there. Then they ask us questions like why we are using guns, and isn’t that going to project them in a bad light. To explain about the film and the use of guns, Rahul had a press conference for the local media on Wednesday, so that we can shoot peacefully now."
