The excitement simply refuses to die for actor Amrita Arora. While ‘Red’ is all set to hit the silver screen, also in the pipeline is ‘Kuch Love, Kuch Drama’ showcasing the lighter side of a housewife who is a couch potato.
“As the name suggests, I am a complete dramebaaz in the movie,” reveals Amrita. “I play a housewife wife who is a TV buff. She is so influenced by soaps that her husband has to go to the extent of proving his love to her,” explains Amrita.
The pretty lady however has another reason to celebrate—her new avatar in Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Red’. “I play a dark mysterious character, someone with negative shades. My new look accentuates that. It’s a very Gothic look —something that I have never experimented with before,” says an excited Amrita.
“All this while I have been playing bubble gum characters. I thought it’s high time this changed. After all, I can’t be good all the time,” adds Amrita.
Also, the fact that she is Zee Music’s eye candy for this month is the icing on the cake. “I take it as a compliment when someone says I am eye candy. After all, all of us love candies. Don’t we?” says Amrita.
Where her personal life is concerned, Amrita is enjoying her comfortable equation with UK-based cricketer Usman Afzal.
