The introductory song of Anurradha Prasad’s BAG films ‘Zindaggi Rocks’, whose shooting was put on hold due to Sushmita’s unfortunate neck sprain, has been completed and that too in the true rocking style of the film.
This being the song which showcases the title of the film and Sushmita’s rock star avatar has been interestingly shot in Capitol Cinema, a relic from the British era in Mumbai. When asked the reason why, we were told since the song was required to capsule the feel of a rock show, with all the glitz, the guitar, the crowd along with an old world feel, resplendent with antiquated atmosphere, the theatre was just perfect for the shoot.
Quite the creative effort we must add! And the best part that since Sushmita injured her back when shooting for this particular song only, Choreographer Farah Khan and Director Tanuja Chandra went about on a low key method of doing the song, since she was quite understandably nervous about Sush injuring herself again, but Sush, being the strong woman that she is, gave it her full energy! She did such an energetic and rocking performance for the song, needless to say everyone was quite happy and impressed. Producer Anurradha Prasad was all praise for Sushmita’s swift recovery and energetic shoot for the song. “As a true professional Sushmita not only completed her work but was gracious enough to work overtime I am looking forward to work with her again in then the future.” says Anurradha Prasad.
The film also stars Shiney Ahuja, Kim Sharma and Moshumi Chatterjee woith child star Julian and with such strong storyline, fabulous music and excellent overall look of the film expect a mind blowing ‘ Zindaggi Rocks’ coming to theatres October 6, 2006.
