And that is why a tremendous response is received every year for the Transmedia Gujarati Screen & Stage Awards which is the only one of its kind to felicitate the best Gujarati artiste & technicians in the field of entertainment.
This year the 6th Annual Gujarati Screen & Stage Awards 2006 will be held on 17th Feb ‘07 at the Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai with an added enthusiasm and will be a grand mega show. This year is the year of celebrating 75 yrs of the Gujarati Cinema and this is the first ever event of the year to celebrate 75 Years.
Hon ‘ble Ministers of State & Central Government, Industrialist” NRI Guest, and many celebrity artists have graced the stage of the Transmedia Gujarati event. It is a great achievement that all the artiste & technicians get together under one roof on this occasion of felicitating 50 artistes every year.
It’s the vision & mission of Shri Jasmin Shah Managing Director of Transmedia to organize such a glorious event in Mumbai, in presence of the audience in thousands. His objective is to create proud feeling about the mother tongue Gujarati, Gujarati literature, Music & art amongst the young generation of Gujaratis settled in Mumbai & all over the world.
Mr. Jasmin Shah always says in his speech ‘One Gujarati newspaper must be read in each Gujarati house-, Gujarat students studying in English medium, must learn Gujarati as a subject. Each Gujarati staying anywhere in the world, should have a hQuse in Gujarat.’
