ZEE TV axes daily soap ‘Parvivaar’ for ‘Maa’
ZEE TV is fighting back with new shows after it was dislodged from the number two slot in India by newcomer Colors.
The latest show to face the axe is ‘Parivaar’, which has faltering in the ratings for the past few months.
Confirming the news, a source from the production says, “Yes, Parivaar will wind up by 14th November (in India). Despite getting an extension, we weren’t able to get required TRPs. Besides, new shows are waiting in the wings and thus some one had to make way.”
TellyChakker also reports that ‘Maa’, a new family drama, which was to launch in the afternoon slot will now launch in the primetime slot from next month. ‘Maa’ is also expected to launch in the UK late November, early December.
