UK Box Office: Heroes and Roadside Romeo flop
Both of last week’s releases have flopped at the UK Box Office, making a combined collection of £138,710.
The Salman Khan starrer Heroes, which seems to be doing pretty well in India, only managed to enter the charts at number 13. Showing on 24 screens, it total collection for the weekend stood at £107,090, with a per screen average £4,462.
Animated flick Roadside Romeo fared much worse with a meagre total of £31,620 and a per screen average of £1,375. It made the charts at number 21, one of the lowest ever openings for a Yash Raj Films release.
This coming weekend might fare slightly better as the much touted Golmaal Returns is released. Slapstick comedy films have generally performed much better in UK. Madhur Bhandarkar’s Priyanka Chopra headlined Fashion is not expected to create much ripples though.
