Farhan Akhtar will Rock on TV as host of new show
He changed the face of Indian film direction when he debuted with Dil Chahta Hai… and then he defined the exact nature of how acting should be done by showing his on screen talents for Rock On… in-between he showed off his singing capabilities also… and now Farhan Akhtar is to revolutionize TV anchoring.
Farhan Akhtar will turn anchor for a celebrity quiz show titled Oye It’s Friday, which is being produced by Endemol India. A source says, “The production house approached Farhan after his debut film Rock On as an actor become a hit. They felt that after Karan Johar, Farhan as host would be able to attract audiences. Farhan was particular that the show should not look like a rip off of any western show.”
“Besides chatting with the personalities, the show will also judge their IQ levels as they will be quizzed about current events. They will nevertheless be briefed before the episode,” continues the source.
Shooting for the show will commence immediately and will be aired sometime in late December.
