Jenny: You have been giving us hot news about Krrish 3 and Don 3, what about Karan Johar’s next big film, do you have any news on that? Tony: Indeed I have, and I open this edition of Ask Tony with hot news about it. Karan Johar is busy working on Koffee With Karan, but he has been on a secret hush-hush mission to the States. Now one would think why is he in the USA? The reason is that he is meeting world leaders and ambassadors for a film on terrorism. Yes, I said it. Terrorism is the subject of Karan Johar’s next big directorial venture. It is a sensitive and topical global issue that requires a lot of research. “Unlike my other films, my next directorial venture goes into an area that I need to get completely right before going on the floors. I’m therefore in the US for three weeks meeting people from various religious, social and humanitarian organisations. None of my films so far have required me to go much beyond my imagination,” says Karan. He says it’s too early to elaborate on his project. “But it raises issues that concern us in an immediate way. We cannot turn away from them, because they stare into our faces and conscience every morning from the newspapers,” says Karan.
All he is ready to divulge now is that it will have Shah Rukh Khan in it for sure. But not only that, the film itself will be titled ‘Khan’. Karan Johar will keep the letter K, as he has for his last three films, and this time around it will be named after the star himself. No other actors have yet been cast, but insiders say that Karan has a script, and is doing the final touches to it.
One final hot news about the film, it will have no songs. This will be a first for Karan Johar, as his films rely on the popularity of its music, and sometimes the music tends to be better than the films themselves. ‘Khan’ will have soundtrack, similar to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black, but no songs as per normal in Bollywood. As a matter of fact, Karan was inspired by Bhansali, “You could say that,” says Karan. “I’ve always admired Sanjay’s work and made no bones about it. To go song-less in my next directorial venture is a decision dictated more by the theme than by any extraneous forces. I can’t see songs breaking into my next film’s narrative. But it isn’t as if there will be no songs! Though no one will sing, there will definitely be music and songs in the background.” Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy are favourites to pen the score again.
On when he will make an official announcement, Karan says “I will soon announce my next film. I have not done it because I am so tied up with my new season of `Koffee With Karan’.”
Karan has not revealed the story to anyone, but I can reveal a little about it. ‘Khan’ will see Shah Rukh Khan play a world renowned peace activist, who is kidnapped by ‘Islamic’ terrorists, and has to negotiate his own way out. The difference in this story is that ‘Khan’ will be more affectionate towards his kidnappers, and once out of captive, begins to work for the goal they are trying to achieve. He reaches his goal and makes peace where no one thought was possible. The film’s first part will be similar to Tom Cruise’s epic ‘The Last Samurai’. However, the second part will be totally inventive and fresh. Karan hopes to send out a global message to ‘terrorists’ and world leaders through this film. The film could release as early as Diwali 2008.

why does Srk do what Aamir does.. first he tries to do a period movie after Laagan.. which sucked big time. He even tried singing after Aamir did, Now after Fanaa.. he is trying to do similar stuff as well? Srk is loosing his own cred.. Don, KBC 3.. following Amitabh.. why cant he just go on his own path…
I don’t understand what everyone has got the problem with Shah Rukh Khan, just because he hasn’t got any * SAYING RESPECTFULLY , ANY AMAR SINGH, this is why, no father on mum, only he is the breadwinner of his family, and he is trying his best to run his life, and don’t forget when DON was released since then they were saying that they are intending to make No2 Don.
Well, don’t you see, Amitabh is called BIG B, but what is he doing teasing a boy who should be like his son, Again saying respectfully, at least Shah Rukh is not passing any remarks, instead he always shows his nobleness, by using respectful words, and to be honest, poeple are bored, ( not me, we like him.) by Amitabh, amitabh, like no other actor of industry is anything just him, or you can say he is trying his best to show himself, that he is big b.
But not by his gentleness, if he had been gentleman, he would have gone to attend shah rukhs party, Now people should judge who is jealous with whom???????

Amitabh doesnt tease srk.. its the other way around.. Srk is alot of things but Noble and humble is surley isnt.. havent u seen any of his interviews at all on tv.. humble?????? hahahahah
well to begin with i have had a lot of respect for amitabh over the years coz he alws conducts himself in the most gracious manner.but of late the way he is after SRK it really doesnt show well coming from a person of his stature.he has completely lost it.as far as SRK goes he is indeed a very humble and honest man who speaks his heart straight.he is a true role model and an inspiration for the youth of this country.and i dont think he is going to be affected by all this.infact he will come out even bigger.but lets just hope some sense prevails in the end
well my question is about my favourite preity zinta. is she quitting bollywood?has she got any other project apart from jhoom barabar jhoom? if yes do u have any information about those projects?
you guys are reading into this story. i bet no one said anythin.. because all the amitabh fans like myself are saying that srk started it and all the srk fans are saying amitabh satrted it.. its all media games.. because of what i read SRk started it by calling Amitabh ‘old’ and finished and that he is the new young, sexy, king’.. now does that sound humble????? but it does sound like somethin that idiot srk would say after seing him say stuff like that live and on tv.. other then just reading it or hearing it about Amitabh.. how many have actually seen him say it..

SRK is paid 3 crores for every KBC episode while bachan got 1 crore only. Now tell me what is amitabh??? This all fight is spread by media. No one ever heard of SRK saying anything against bachan. WHen nothing works and no one from above turned number one media created fake stories of Amitabh clash with SRK. WHy the hell no one created clash stories between dilip kumar and SRK when srk was doing remake of devdas???? Is it because this time around SRK was “”daring”" to do a remake of hindu?? Same happens when KBC came handy. Even after SRK interviews that he was offered KBC 2 years ago but he refused it because amitabh ji was doing it. This time he accepted it because the sponsors showed him letter from amitabh stating that he was not interested in kbc3. We all know KBC3 Rocks with SRK.

This Loretta here seems to see a person only by the religion he follows. The person is obsessed.These type of people are the ones who are the enemies of friendship and secularism.If the Indian media was really fundamentalist hindu, do you think any muslim actor ,right from the time of dileepkumar could have made it big in bollywood.There are fundamentalists in all religions. If a person is a fundamentalist it is not because there is something wrong with the religion, but the problem lies in the guy’s head.
