After their recent appearance in Mani Ratnam’s Guru, the pair of Vidya Balan and R. Madhavan will come together in the celebrated director Deepa Mehta’s next film. Meanwhile, Deepa Mehta is also running high on the success of her film ‘Water’ at the Oscars.
The noted film-maker has been eager to work with Vidya, ever since she had seen her in the Vidhu Vinod Chopra production ‘Pareenita’. Along with Vidya, R. Madhavan has been selected to play the male lead for Deepa Mehta’s next film titled ‘Stella’. The director already had the script ready for Vidya Balan and after seeing the on-screen couple in Guru, she finalized them for her next.
The movie will be of the comedy genre which is working well with the audiences of late. This will be a new territory for Deepa Mehta. Whereas, Vidya Balan and R. Madhavan have tried their hand at comedy before as well.
