Mumbai, January 31, 2007: It ain’t over, ’til it’s over! The thirty-year-old saga is back to create a rage globally and ring in the nostalgic moments of ‘Rocky’. The city’s glitterati gathered in huge numbers with high energy to cheer the ‘Italian Stallion’ for one final round at the gala premiere of ‘ROCKY BALBOA’ hosted by FAME Adlabs and Warner Bros on Wednesday, 31st January 2007. Directed and written by Sylvester Stallone, the action drama also features Burt Young, Milo Ventimiglia and Geraldine Hughes.
The entrance area of FAME Adlabs featured a huge boxing glove and the barricading resembled side-ropes of a boxing ring. In its foyer, the multiplex showcased a nostalgic pictorial collection on ‘How ROCKY Shot to FAME’, encapsulating the journey from ‘ROCKY’ to ‘ROCKY BALBOA’. Rocky trivia signboards accompanied with pairs of boxing gloves added further thrill to the overall ambience. If that’s not enough, FAME Adlabs had created a boxing ring replica with a life-sized cut-out of Sylvester Stallone. In this ring, a proxy fight between two kick-boxers was conducted with a referee looking over the match. The match announcements, the ringing of the bell gong and a cheerleader displaying placards for each round, rendered a surreal experience to patrons. Celebrities attending the premiere also hopped into the boxing ring to relive the movie’s excitement.
Seen at the premiere were Arshad Warsi, Rohit Roy, Deepak Tijori, Tupur and Tapur, Kashmira Shah, Kabir Khan, Sharad & Keerti Kelkar, Anusha Dandekar, Nagma, Deepshikha, Hiten Tejwani, Negar Khan, Gauhar Khan, Rakshanda Khan, Man Verma, Riva Babber, Divya Dutta, Sameer Soni, Vikas Bhalla, Anup Soni, Onjalee Nair, Sophie Chaudhary, Amit Behl, Anaida, Samita Bangargi, Manish Goyal, Ganesh Hegde, Gaurav Chopra & Narayani Shastri, Ganesh Hegde, Vatsal Sheth, Rajeev & Delnaaz Paul, Tanaaz Lal & Bakhtiyaar Irani, Puneet Issar, Daboo Ratnani amongst others.
