This man is who creativity, luminosity, knowledge and intelligence are bound to stay with. The man is rich in ideas to deliver on screen. Mr. Blockbuster – Sajid Nadiadwala once again is mooring his belts to take a giant ride with another biggie project ‘Hey Baby’ after much talked about ‘Jaan-e-Mann’. He launched this flick with a test shoot in Madh Island in a true Hollywood style. This is the very first time in the history of Indian cinema that a test shoot has been done. And Sajid Nandiadwala has done so only to ensure that the comfort level of the director Sajid Khan with the crew and the baby is fabulous.
Since the comedy guy Said Khan is widely famous for his jokes and hilarious comedy on his shows on TV, one easily expects that his directorial debut would be a comedy too. But wait…! It’s not like that instead the movie is a light hearted romantic drama about human relationships. The test shoot which is a Hollywood concept is being done by the mammoth banner of Sajid Nadiadwala who is spending huge amount of money just to produce quality. This shows how committed and dedicated the man (Sajid Nadiadwala) is..?
About his directorial debut Sajid Khan (whom Nadiadwala shows his full confidence on while giving a colossal budget in Sajid’s debut flick) says, “Sajid Nadiadwala is producing the film for me and the budget is Rs 400 million (Rs 40 crore). Shooting with stars is quite easy in comparison with shooting with a Baby and so we are spending almost Rs 47 million on the visual effects by using a new technology called Motion Capture. There is a difference in Motion control and MOTION CAPTURE. This is generally done on a 3D animated CGI (computer graphic imaging) but for the first time ever in the history of world cinema, we are doing this on an actual person. Nick Nickolai from Sydney who has earlier worked on movies like The Matrix, Babe and Power Rangers – the movie will be working on my film”
So even if the baby is moody or cries when the baby has to laugh whilst shooting due to this technology the baby will be showed smiling through the computer special effects which is simultaneously done behind the scene while the shooting takes place so that the shoot is not disrupted. Sajid Khan further explains his mind on the project, “By using this technology I can shoot with a baby even if the baby is sad or crying and later morph a smiling face on the baby’s original face. So as a filmmaker, it makes it convenient for me to shoot”.
Sajid Khan has already conducted two test shoots for the film and will be conducting one more in New Zealand. The approximate budget of one test shoot is Rs. 800,000
“I had told Nadiadwala that I want to shoot in an Udaipur fort with 200 – 300 junior artists. Instead he has given me a Rs 30 million set, 1000 junior artists and 50 elephants, four helicopters, a big stage and a coliseum,” elaborates Sajid
He also added his views, saying, “Nadiadwala banner believes in the immense creative abilities of its Creative people involved in the projects and back it completely with no interference. IT UNDERSTANDS THE BUSINESS OF FILM MAKING THE BEST. His essence is to deliver quality products, so that the people are entertained and get their value for their money. Sajid Nadiadwala is a man of vision and he has this ability to back winning projects and the successful track record of the Nadiadwala banner proves it. He always thinks BIG and mega in the Entertainment Industry. He is MR. BLOCKBUSTER, and number of block busters prove it”.
Sajid Nadiadwala – Mr. Blockbuster is a man who is laced with courage to invest huge money even on the first timers. And this is called an enthusiastically passionate filmmaker who doesn’t care about money and just cares to chew up films which every cinegoers loves to stay with.
