After Drona, Abhishek will now become Tansen
Rajshri Productions have signed up Abhishek Bachchan as Tansen for a film based on the historical legend.
To be directed by Satish Kaushik, the film will start shooting middle of next year and could be ready by Christmas 2009. Says Satish, “We have been working on the script for the last one year as we had to do a lot of research.”
But, I am not aware of who is going to play Tansen as I was very busy with the release of Karzzzz. Maybe the Rajshris have thought of Abhishek,” he said.
Prior to Abhishek, Himesh Reshammiya was being sought for the role. The female lead is expected to be given to hot shot beauty Deepika Padukone.
