Jade Goody’s plans to tour India have been criticised by one of Shilpa Shetty’s friends.
Divya Puri has explained that the Indian people will be sceptical about Goody’s motives if she chooses to make the trip so soon after leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house.
The reality TV star is expected to visit India next week to apologise for her behaviour on the show, which attracted a record number of complaints from viewers who believed Shetty was being racially abused.
“Why come over in such a blaze of publicity? It would clearly be a PR stunt,” Divya told The Mirror. “She should come over quietly in six months and not make a fuss, then we’ll know she is genuine.”
