Sharon Stone has been nominated for a Golden Raspberry Award – a ceremony that recognises the worst films of the year.
Basic Instinct 2 has been nominated for seven awards in total, including worst picture, worst actress for Stone and worst supporting actor for David Thewlis.
Little Man, a comedy made by the Wayans brothers also scooped seven nominations for the awards.
John Wilson, who created the awards, said Stone’s film was “a lascivious murder mystery that turned out to be a laugh riot”.
He also described Little Man as “a comedy nearly as devoid of laughs as Schindler’s List.
The Golden Raspberry ceremony will take place on February 24, a day before the Academy Awards.
