The cute looking kid, who looted the hearts decades back with his innocent acting in Shekhar Kapoor’s ‘Masoom’, now makes his entry in Bollywood with a debutante director in Yash Raj Films’ ‘Roadside Romeo’. Yes, he is Jugal Hansraj, who after falling flat on acting front (as a hero in a few films he did after growing up), who debuts as a director with Aditya Chopra’s production, ‘Roadside Romeo’. Starring Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Javed Jaffri; the movie is an animated enterprise.
Storyline:
Romeo (Saif Ali Khan) is a small very cute pet of a super rich human family. He is very much popular amongst the ladies and a flirt. He knows, how to get what he wants. He is a smart, suave and intelligent guy. He was spending his life beautifully…he had the mansion to reside in…the chicks to have party with…the cars to take ride on. All was going on well until one day when the family, whose pet he was, decided to left him back. He is now on the streets of Mumbai. He faces the situations, he has never ever undergone earlier. He bumps into four strays, who scare the daylights out of him. But soon, he smooth talks his way into their hearts and he makes friends. Amidst all, Romeo finds his love lady…he meets the very gorgeous and vivacious Laila. He falls in love the moment he sees her. Laila is the hottest girl and she knows it very well. She is the singer and dancer at the Moonlight club. She is too hot that all the guys would love to shake legs with her.
In their love life, there emerges a villain, Charlie Anna (Javed Jaffri). He is the dreaded don of the area. Everyone is scared of him. Charlie loves Laila so everyone is terrified of him. The result is that no one has the courage to tease Laila.
Romeo is to face Charlie now.

The story has been penned by Jugal Hansraj, who takes a unique idea to Bollywood to present the animated characters on the celluloid with the popular celebs’ voices in the background. Although animated films have been making in Bollywood, but this one is certainly unique in every sense of the word. Music is composed by Salim-Sulaiman and the lyrics written by Jaideep Sahni. Animation, the most important and skilled work has been dolled up by Tata Elxsi / VCL.
