Whenever Karan Johar emerges with his project, the expectations of a good music start to tread with the music buffs. Since Johar is now all geared up with the upcoming, ‘Dostana’, the music lovers want a melodious soundtrack from his production abode. Lets check out, if he succeeds or not…!
Starring Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra and Bobby Deol in the leading roles, the film is set in the gorgeous locales of Miami. The duo of Vishal-Shekhar has been roped in to compile the tunes.
1): Jaane Kyun (Vishal Dadlani)
The album begins with the voice of Vishal Dadlani who croons this youthful track with aplomb. A fun number, it has well-penned lyrics by Anvita Dutt Guptan. The music is fantastic to enjoy with. An entertaining love track, go for it.

2): Desi Girl (Shankar Mahadevan, Sunidhi Chauhan and Vishal Dadlani)
Wanna go on the dance floors…? Then the wait is over since the musicians Vishal-Shekhar bring a dance number for you. ‘Desi Girl’ is electrifying all the way. Shankar, Sunidhi and Vishal impress a lot with the vocals. Excellently written lyrics by Kumar make the song more catchy. The composition is a class. A wonderful number to listen to.

3): Maa Da Laadla (Saleem)
Next you are offered another dance number but this time it is a hardcore Punjabi song. The vocalist Saleem spells magic with the voice. The creative lyrics by Kumar and the racy tunes by Vishal-Shekhar are a treat to be with. Polsih your dance shoes now to shake the legs.

4): Shut Up (Sunidhi Chauhan and Vishal Dadlani)
Now the turn is for an item number, ‘Shut Up’ that stars Sunidhi Chauhan and Vishal to trill the lines. And yes, they do the job with much conviction. An utter dance number, it features Shilpa Shetty, Abhishek and John on the beach. The lyrics by Anvita are wonderful. The composition sends chill through the bodies.

5): Khabar Nahi (Shreya Ghoshal and Amanat Ali and Raja Hasan)
A melodious song comes your way next on the album. Sung brilliantly by Shreya, Amanat and Raja, it is a spongy number to listen in the dark. Anvita writes it beautifully.

6): Kuch Kum (Shaan)
Shaan comes now with ‘Kuch Kuam’. He croons it superbly. The poetic lines are splendid and the composition spins magic with you.

‘Dostana’ is a melodiously classy soundtrack by Dharma Productions. It has worth to be sold like hot cakes at the music stands.
