If the grapevine is to be believed, the two biggest weddings of the year are set to clash in March
With Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai finally getting engaged, it seems like the much-hyped wedding of the year – that of Elizabeth Hurley to Arun Nayar – may find itself overshadowed.
According to Daily Mail, a clash with Hurley’s plans is on the cards as both weddings are set for late February and March during the same auspicious astrological window for marriages.
Hurley and Nayar are scheduled to come to Udaipur and Mumbai in the first week of March for an Indian celebration with star guests like the Beckhams, Elton John and Hugh Grant. The Ash-Abhi wedding, rumoured to be held at the Grand Hyatt, will play host to the biggest names in the film, business and political world in India.
The British tabloid has quoted a Bollywood insider as saying, “No bride likes to be upstaged and I’m sure Liz is no different. These are two of our biggest stars and they are expected to have a massive wedding - elephants included.”
As far as wedding spoilers go, there’s probably nothing bigger than this one!
