After Rang De Basanti’s mega success, director Rakeysh Mehra wants his next film Delhi 6 to be as memorable as his previous film. The only problem he had been facing with Delhi 6 was the casting for the lead role in the film. After approaching the big actors finally Hrithik has answered positively to him.
For the male lead in Delhi 6, Rakesh had first approached Abhishek Bachchan and with no luck he then went to Hrithik Roshan. Hrithik had some issues with the script and so Rakeysh went on to Akshay Kumar who refused to act in the film. And then, the director approached Hrithik again who finally agree to accept the project along with the acceptance of his suggested changes in the project.
Now, Hrithik has a full kitty of big banner films to boast of like Ash starrer Jodhaa Akbar, Kareena starrer Kismat Talkies and now Rakeysh Mehra’s Delhi 6.
