The abuse that has been hurled at Shilpa is now being investigated, by the TV watchdog. Many viewers have complained that Shilpa has been called many names, most of which are racially insensitive, and should not have been aired. If Channel 4 are found to be guilty, then they may face a hefty fine, which is another nail in the impending coffin of this ailing show.
Celebrity Big Brother might not return next year, as the plummeting ratings have given cause for concern to the bosses at the independent television channel. By bringing in one of Bollywood’s big names, the channel was hoping to increase their viewer ship, but this in fact has taken the opposite effect. With three contestants already leaving the house, Celebrity Big Brother is in a somewhat crises zone. Bosses are not willing to schedule it again next year, and may give it a total rest for at least the next three years.
Now back to what has been happening to Shilpa in the house. No day would be complete without Shilpa crying a tear. And she did cry a tear or two last night. This happened after a heated discussion with Jade, who called Shilpa a fake. Cleo tried to mediate but without luck. Shilpa then turned to God, prayed a little, and went to sleep – on the floor.
The day saw more back biting and more talking behind Shilpa’s back by Jade and co, but there were light moments for Shilpa also. Dirk one again has flirted like hell with Shilpa, wishing that he would one day see a film where she plays a seductress. To which the response from Shilpa was “He is incorrigible”.
However there was a moment of sadness, when Shilpa revealed the year of her birth – 1975. This was the same year in which Dirk discovered that he had cancer, by which he lost 30 pounds. “I was just coming out of it by the end of ‘75,” he said.
Shilpa has today also disclosed her dislike for Kill Bill and its director, calling both over-rated. Talking more about the movies, she has revealed she played a secret agent in an action movie three years ago. What movie was this, anyone?
