Amrita Rao becomes choosy over film roles, refuses another flick by Mundra
One of Bollywood’s brightest emerging actresses, Amrita Rao is getting choosy with her selection of films.
Hot on the success of last year’s Vivaah, opposite Shahid Kapur, and a critically acclaimed performance in last week’s release Welcome To Sajjanpur… Amrita has now refused to star in Jagmohan Mundra’s Roommates. This is the second time she has refused a film directed by Mundra, prior to this she opted out of Naughty@40 co-starring Govinda.
Says Mundra, “I still really don’t know why Amrita walked out. The producers (Promodome and Sishty Creations) told me that she had certain issues. Later, she was my original choice for Roommates. Amrita had heard the script and given her nod but then she mentioned a date issue and moved out.”
Roommates, produced by One Thought Entertainment, now stars Pakistani actor Mikaal Zulfiqar (who also features in Mundra’s Shoot On Sight), Raima Sen and Gul Panag.
