The ‘Iqbal’ fame director, Nagesh Kukunoor is all set for his about to release film ‘Dor’. He has made this film with Percept Picture Company and Sahara One Motion Pictures. Now the buzz is that Percept Picture Company has decided to churn out two films with Nagesh Kukunoor as a director in the upcoming year of 2007.
Following this mutual decision Nagesh and Percept Picture Company have now announced their next project after ‘Dor’ and that is titled as ‘Aashayein’. John Abraham has been finalized as the main protagonist of the film. The rest of the cast will be announced later.
‘Aashayein’ tells the saga of a compulsive gambler who explores new images of fortune and life through some dramatic turn of events.
The second project of Nagesh-Percept is ‘Bemisal’, which star cast is yet to be finalized but this flick will go on floors in July 2007. Both of these movies will be produced jointly by Percept Picture Company as the main producer and SIC Productions as the associated producer.
Commenting on his association with the production house Nagesh chips in, “Working with Percept on Dor gave me the comfort of associating with someone who has the guts to support cinema that bends the rules. I would like to take this relationship further. Aashayein is the first step and Bemisal will be the next. This is what we hope to do- content cinema that makes box-office sense.”
