The UTV produced ‘Rang De Basanti’, India ‘s official entry to the Oscars, has been nominated for this year’s British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) Bafta Awards in the ‘Film Not In English Language’ category.
Along with ‘Rang De Basanti’, the other films nominated in the same category include ‘Apocalypto’ and ‘Volver’. Says Ronnie Screwvala, CEO, UTV “This nomination is another affirmation that RDB transcends all boundaries of ethnicity and nationality.”
The awards will be held on February 11 in London.
