Karisma goes back to husband, no Bollywood comeback for Lolo
Little sister Kareena Kapoor has got her Didi Karisma Kapoor back with Sanjay Kapur… with a little help from Saif Ali Khan.
Karisma had married Sanjay on the rebound after being dumped by Abhishek Bachchan in September 2003. The couple then had a child, Samaira, but after a few years began to have problems. Karisma then moves back from Delhi home to Mumbai. Now, it seems that the couple will get to celebrate their 5th marriage ceremony next week… all because of Kareena and Saif.
“Karisma really wants her marriage to work for Samaira’s sake. The little girl dotes on her father and missed him terribly when she was with Karisma in Mumbai while Sanjay was in Delhi. Karisma has at the moment put aside all thoughts of making a comeback to films and has gone back to Delhi, hopefully for good,” said a source.
The source adds, “For Karisma, her daughter comes before everything else. Career was something she thought she could manage around Samaira’s schedules. Before Samaira was born, she kept shuttling between Delhi and Mumbai for her television show, Karishma: The Miracle Of Destiny. Even when the show didn’t do well, Karisma was happy being a mother. Eventually she thought she’d balance her time by focussing on Samaira and at the same time do a few product endorsements, one film a year, and maybe some television. Now, thanks to her family’s persuasive powers and Sanjay’s determination to win her back, Karisma is back in Delhi.”
Apparently, Kareena kept in touch with Sanjay and kept persuading Karisma to let him meet his daughter Samaira now and then. Saif also put his two-pennies worth in by talking with Sanjay and getting both him and Karisma together for a reconciliation talk.
Confirming the news, an elated Kareena said, “My sister is in Delhi with her husband. I do miss Karisma and my niece a lot. But I keep visiting them in Delhi whenever I can. And my sister too keeps coming to Mumbai whenever she can. I’ll be going from Ladakh to Shimla at the end of this schedule. From there, I’ll drive down to Delhi even if it’s just for a few hours. In fact, I was in Delhi for an event during the recent bomb blasts. Saif was shooting in Delhi for Imtiaz’s film.”
