The popular film by director Stephen Chow is slated to get an Indian make-over by the prestigious hands of the Sippy’s. The Kung Fu based action film will be remade by Rohan Sippy, whose last film Bluffmaster was a success. The latest news about the much-awaited film is that it may star the Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar.
The film will be produced by Rohan Sippy and its script has been penned down by Sridhar Raghavan. It’s loosely based on Stephen Chow’s film, though its script is completely original and will be directed by scriptwriter Sridhar Raghavan himself. The film is an action entertainer for which Akshay Kumar is slated to play the lead role.
Sippy’s forthcoming releases include Sujoy Ghosh’s Aladdin starring Big B as the genie and Ritesh Deshmukh as Aladdin. Another is a comedy starring Nana Patekar and Shahid Kapoor and will be directed by Rohit Shetty, who earlier directed Zameen and Golmaal. So, quite a treat from the Sippy’s clan now.
