Director Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra has more than just the Oscars on his mind. The director of the mega hit Rang De Basanti is on the look-out for his lead actor for his forthcoming film Delhi 6. The director is meanwhile, busy promoting his film, Rang De Basanti at the Oscars.
Om Prakash Mehra had earlier planned to sign Abhishek Bachchan for the lead role. Then, he moved on to the heartthrob Hrithik Roshan, who apparently has some date problems. Hrithik is busy shooting for Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Jodhaa Akbar and will then start shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s Kismat Talkies opposite Kareena Kapoor. Now, the new actor tipped to play the lead role in Mehra’s next film is the Bollywood Khiladi, Akshay Kumar.
Akshay Kumar is meanwhile, shooting in Sydney and the news is yet to be confirmed from either sides. Delhi 6 is Mehra’s forthcoming ambitious project for which he will start shooting right after the Oscars.
