The film touted to be a very special venture of the makers of ‘Ek Hasina Thi’ is already showing the signs of creating a lot hype among the audience due to the declaration by Adlabs of producing and distributing the film. The film also marks the debut of Neil Nitin Mukesh, son of singer Nitin Mukesh and grandson Mukesh.
The thriller by Sriram Raghavan stars Dharmendra in the lead role along with Neil Nitin Mukesh, Rimi Sen, Zakir Hussain, Vinay Pathak, Daya Shetty and Ashwini Kalsekar. Says director Sriram Raghavan, “I grew up on the crime novels of James Hadley Chase, although this movie is not based on any Chase novel. Why the title JOHNNY GADDAAR considering there is no character by that name in the movie? Well, it’s homage to one of my all-time favourite movies JOHNNY MERA NAAM by the great Vijay Anand. And it’s got a reason in the movie too, which you’ll have to watch.”
The music for Johnny Gaddaar has been composed by the successful duo of Vishal-Shekhar. The film will be releasing in May 2007. So, keep a tab on this one.
