Documentary film-maker Kabir Khan’s first attempt at commercial cinema has been banned in Afghanistan at all over. Kabul Express starring John Abraham and Arshad Warsi has been pulled off from all the cinema theatres following a ban imposed by the government of Afghanistan.
The film had been extensively shot in Afghanistan and is based in the post-Taliban period in the capital, Kabul. The film has been banned by the Government as they felt that few dialogues in the film have hurt the sentiments of an ethnic Afghanistan minority group called Hazara, who are believed to be the descendents of Genghis Khan’s invading army and constitute 10% of Afghanistan’s population.
The Yash Raj Film has been completely banned in Afghanistan, even though Aditya Chopra apologised to the Afghan government, the ban couldn’t been lifted up.
