Hurricane Ike disrupts shooting of Hrithik Roshan film in Mexico
Shooting on Hrithik Roshan starrer Kites in Mexico has been disrupted after the threat of Hurricane Ike.
Says a source close to the film’s unit, “The cast and crew of Kites are in a fix as their shooting schedule has been disrupted indefinitely. Gearing up for the onset of the storm, the film’s unit has been staying put in their respective hotels instead of being on the sets.”
Adds the source, “This calamity has not just brought a huge setback to the project economically but has also messed up the dates of the cast and the crew. Rakesh Roshan, the producer and director of the film is contemplating moving back to Mumbai with the film’s unit and continuing with the shoot at Mexico later, in better weather, though this will only add on to the budget of the film. As it is, a week’s delay in the film’s shoot could easily amount to a loss of Rs 1 crore.”
Apart from Hrithik Roshan, Kites will also see the Bollywood debut of Spanish actress Barbara Mori alongside Indian beauty Kangana Ranaut.
