The year gone by proved to be the biggest for the box office ratings and the net gross collections for the major chunk of the hit and blockbuster hits of the year.
The films topping the charts had a successful test at the box office as they earned in quantum and not merely on the basis of overseas commission and high-priced tickets.
The films drew audiences in good proportion and won hearts across the globe. The year indicates a sea-change in the business quotient of Bollywood in domestic as well as overseas market. The trend of big banners coming out with the chartbusters this year may well be continued forward this year as well.
In terms of revenue and a whopping net gross, this year is by far the best for the box office of India.
