Govinda attacks co-star and director on sets of Do Lucky, Chi Chi does it again
Bollywood’s very own Teletubbie actor Govinda has gone and done it again… not content with attacking a fan a few months ago, the veteran star has this time slapped and punched his co-star and director… read on for more.
It all happened on Tuesday morning, when Govinda stunned everyone on the sets of Do Lucky by attacking co-star Aryan Vaid and director Neeraj Vora. A source present on the sets says, “Govinda hardly turns up for the shoots and even on days when he does come, he drops in five hours later than expected. On Monday, when we were supposed to can the climax of the film, he kept telling the production people that he was on the way but he never turned up at all. But what he did with his co-star and the film’s director Neeraj Vora on Tuesday totally stunned us all. It has never happened in the film industry till date that an actor has slapped the director.”
The source adds, “The climax has been shot at Film City, on the helipad. The sequence required the villain in the movie, Aryan Vaid to throttle Chi Chi and then slap him.
But while shooting the scene, Aryan didn’t time his slap appropriately and his hand landed on Chi Chi’s face. Govinda lost his cool there and then and didn’t even wait for the director to call cut and pushed Aryan, who fell right on a jeep parked nearby, with a lot of force.”
The source continues, “Then Chi Chi made his way to the actual set where director Neeraj Vora and the other members of the cast — which included Tusshar Kapoor, Ameesha Patel — were watching the episode unfold. Govinda came running towards the area and grabbed hold of Neeraj as he thought it was Vora who was behind the whole thing. He then started to abuse the director. He slapped Vora so hard that his prescribed glasses went flying some 15 yards away and broke. The actor then made his way to his vanity van. A few moments later, he left Film City for his house in Juhu.”
When Govinda was challenged about this by a local reporter, his response was, “I have finished shooting for the film and am on my way back home. Whatever you’re telling me is not true. I don’t wish to comment on this issue any further.” Director Neeraj Vora has refused to comment on the issue.
Previous to this, Govinda assaulted a fan on the sets of Money Hai To Honey Hai, earlier this year. His excuse then was that the fan had abused a female co-star.
Your thoughts on this incident and Govinda in general… do you feel that Govinda was right in attacking his co-star and director… or do you think that Govinda has completely lost it and is going through a mid-life crises… is there something seriously wrong with him and should he be seeking medical help for it… and as for the issue itself… should Govinda be reprimanded or arrested because of it… should a high-profile actor be able to get away with assault just because of his big name… whatever your thoughts we would love to read them… please use the comments section below to send them to us and fellow readers.
