For Priyadarshan’s fans, there’s some good news. The film-maker will have yet another release after his latest Bhagam Bhag hit the screens on Dec. 22. His much-delayed film Friendship, remake of hit Marathi film Bindhast in 2000, finally releases this month.
Priyadarshan’s Friendship was made at a time when his film Hera Pheri did very well at the box office but it’s not a comic flick. “It is my most well executed film. It is not a comedy but a thriller. I have simultaneously shot it in four languages- Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. The Tamil version released six years ago but the producer is the best person to tell you the reason for the delay,” said Priyadarshan.
The film has an interesting star-cast comprising exclusively of the female brigade: Tabu, Jyothika, Sharbani Mukherjee, Ishita Arun, Mita Vasisht, and Dipti Bhatnagar.
