Celebrity Big Brother finally kicked of, after many a day of speculation and rumours, and I was there to witness the guys and girls enter the house.
The television viewers usually don’t get the best seat when it comes to the first show, and the last show, as it is pretty much censored. You guys don’t get to witness the booing and swearing, and this year there was no exception, in fact many a celebrity were using foul language too.
But the reason I have been asked to keep a daily Blog, is because of Shilpa Shetty, the first ever Bollywood star to go into the Big Brother house.
First up was Jermaine Jackson, the veteran pop-star got a reasonable welcome from the crowd, and seems to have a certain edge to his personality. I am betting that Jermaine will score with the viewers at home. Let’s see.
Football star Teddy Sheringham’s beau Danielle Lloyd is the second contestant. She is whistled at wildly by the crowd, and sure seems another genuine full race runner.
Did not see the point of Ken Russell going into the house, he is a ripe old of 80, and that is way too old. The pensioner had trouble walking and had to be aided by Davina. He will require some caring for sure in the house, who will do that?
Then it is former S Club 7 singer Jo O’Meara. The girl is a complete mis-match for Big Brother. I mean she was scared stiff and didn’t want to go in the house. How long will she stay inside, not for long I’d say?
One singer followed by another. This time Leo Sayer. He looks a little over-confident and that might be his end-doing. I don’t like this guy at all.
And then the contestant number 6. The one I was waiting for. Queen of Bollywood, termed by Davina not me, Shilpa Shetty. Her introductory video was nice. She introduced herself, who se was, called herself the Angelina Jolie of India. Took us inside her house, which was beautifully decorated, and got us to meet her dog Champagne. What a name for dog! Never knew she had a dog, let alone with a name like that. I always thought she would have a pet called Anubhav. No pun intended. The introductory video lacked one thing though; the film clips shown were very un-glamorous. The clips could have helped her with the viewers, but a missed chance.
And then she came out of the car. Looking glamorous. Did a Namaste with her hands. Talked to Davina for a while. Praised India and Indians. Said she always travelled wit her entourage and will miss it. Was about to talk about Big Boss but got cut short, and then was helped up the stairs by Davina. Later Davina praised her beauty and said that she wanted to keep looking at her. A nice hint for the viewers, if you want to keep looking at her, then don’t vote for her to be evicted.
