Adnan has gone to big, says fellow music director Aadesh
All is not well in the Bollywood music world as top musicians Adnan Sami and Aadesh Shrivastava have come to blows.
It has been reported that the incident took place last week at Richa Sharma’s birthday party. Richa’s request was for each of her guests to sing a song for her as a birthday gift, and so they all did. It has to be noted that the party guests primarily consisted of musicians. When Adnan came to the stage, Aadesh passed on an insulting remark.
Says a source, “There were mostly music folk at the celebration. Everyone was taken aback when Aadesh passed the remark. Adnan then told Aadesh that perhaps he’d had a glass too many due to which he was talking like this. Later a verbal duel occurred between the two composers.”
The source continues, “Aadesh then told Adnan in Punjabi that he had become very big. He told him that he does not know how to show respect to elders. This resulted in Adnan telling him that he should first become big, only then he would show him respect! It was clear to any onlooker that something was amiss between the two.”
When Aadesh was asked about this tiff, he responded by saying, “Yes, it’s true that Adnan and I had an argument but it was nothing personal. I am the president of the Cine Music Directors’ Association. Adnan was agitated as to why he was not being made a member. The authorities wanted to question Adnan before making him a member. He was not submitting the required documents. When this subject arose, an argument took place. I was only doing my duty but Adnan could not handle it.”
Adnan has so far refused to comment on this issue.
