First Singh then Chandni Chowk and now its AIDS for King Akshay Kumar
Akshay Kumar may be entertaining us with his powerhouse performances every other month, but now the Khiladi wants to do a little good for the world… and hence he has agreed to star in a film about AIDS.
Top director Priyadarshan has got Akshay on board for this social flick, and says, “I’ve discussed it with Akshay. We’ll roll in July-August 2009. Malay-alam actor Mohanlal is also part of it. After Kanjeevaram, I’ve begun to return to my roots as a serious filmmaker. That doesn’t mean I won’t make entertainers. In fact, the AIDS film would be an attempt to blend entertainment with a message.”
Akshay and Priyadarshan have worked on numerous comedy flicks but this will indeed be a tester. It will also be nice to see Akshay Kumar in something different than a comedy.
