Other than these she’s been a favourite with the big banner productions like Guru, Akbar-Jodhaa, Sarkar 2, Raaste and Happy Birthday. The beauty struck gold this year with her role of a con girl in the mega hit Dhoom 2. Her svelte look and exposure on camera gave more than her face for viewing. From one controversy to the other, she continues to enjoy the position of the most covered and written about Bollywood celebs today. What Aishwarya Rai is at number one?!?!?? I don’t think that she is talented like the other actress. She is all HYPE! Apart from Dhoom 2 what other films has a hit??? None Umrao Jaan was the most awful film I saw last year (2006). The success of Dhoom2 belongs to Hrithik + Abhishek + Bipasha.

i think this year was a year for bollywood hero’s aka hritik, aamir, shahruk and so on the actress just played muses in the top grossers of the year e.g. krish, lage raho, dhoom 2 apart from fanna and kank! ash no 1? saleability, media and big banners played an integral part in her hype, cause even her role as suneheri was panned not only by critics but also lovers of dhoom 2
Here is my vote and I think it is a much better analysis of what the writer did in keeping with the same criterias of judgement!
1) Rani Mukeerjee: Slightly down from last year cause she had her first big flop in 3 years, Babul but is the best actress right now and gave 2 excellent performances in KANK and Babul. She has a huge fan following, especially in the overaseas market.
2) Ashwarya Rai: True Ash may not be a great actress in all her movies but you cannot ignore her. She has tremendous fan following, is the best known bollywood actor in the west, has some hollywood project, is in the news all the time, commands a huge price and has had Dhoom this year. Yeah, crazy kiya re!
3) Kareena Kapoor: Yeah, how could you guys leave her out. She did not have a very lenghy role in Omkaara but her performance was so subdued and in tune with the character she played. And compare that with her hit and miss role in Don, especially the song “yeh mera Dil” and you realise the extreme versatility of the actress. She is one of the most underutilised actress of bollywood and this year she had average grossers like chup chup ke, 36 china town and omkara! Has movies with amir and hritik next year, you guys better watch out for her!
4) Priyanka Chopra: No great acting skills but stared in Krish and Don, has a very good fan following. Now all she needs to do is to show her acting skills while continuing to rock the box office.
5) Kangana Ratnaut: New comer but a great one at that. Fantastic performance in Gangster and Woh Lamhe and both movies were average grossers too.

1)she is not the most beautiful woman in the world, she is fake and plastic she is getting very very old, her eyes are not green but contact lenses someone show her to a REAL doctor/optician who will agree that she is using contact lenses.
2)when giving people the miss world/universe award they were all fixed, all based in india so obviously they wanted an indian to win, therefore witches like sushmita, aishwariya and even lara get miss world/universe awards, tell them to remove all there makeup then see how disgusting they look.
3)aishwariya people think is going to hollywood?? when has a british movie been hollywood??? do you people think she will even set foot in hollywood??? gurindar chadda is a small time british film maker…. her movies are not hollywood but british movies you idiots wake up.

i dont understand what’s reason for which ppl dislike aishwarya.even if rani gives flops like baabul and didn’t have any earth shattering role in KANK which just managed to be a hit it’s okay with them.but a blockbuster like dhoom 2 from ash is overlooked and they only talk about her flops like umrao jaan.infact they find excuses to deride her like “oh! dhoom 2 is hrithik’s hit”, “ash looked like a doll in dhoom 2″ etc. it’s sick. to be fair although it flopped ash’s performance was superb in umrao jaan. and one’s looks shouldn’t be held against their efforts. she’s excessively beautiful but that doesn’t mean a courtesan couldn’t have bees so lovely and only a less beautiful actress could have done that role. coming to dhoom 2 after hrithik it’s she who has the most important role. she’s so sexy in dhoom 2 as well as performed beautifully. what’s more she’s got an even more promising 2007.she’s has the biggest market value. so i don’t understand why she shouldn’t be no 1. someone mentioned kareena kapoor. wow! the only memorable film she had this year was omkara and even in it she didn’t have a big role. it was saif ali khan who walked away with all the accolades.but commercially it was still a flop although critically acclaimed (i don’t know why). chup chup ke and china town? did any1 remeber these films?moreover what more did kareena do in them apart from being a decorative piece? rani mukerji survives purely on the support of khans,yashraj and karan johar.so does preity zinta.
Hey,not here to malign anyone but I think leaving out Kareena Kapoor was unbelievable..she’s simply a great actress..Her act in Omkara was outstanding….She’s a superstar with natural talent.

I believe if anyone knows what is acting cant trust on current superstars such as Ash or Kareena, all they are is just glamour and success which they got on others behalf like 36 china town for Kareena and Dhoom 2 for Ash….
All I wanna say is we these 2 actresses should go back to acting schools or take some tips from Rani or Bipasha well Bipasha is still growing but she did some risky projects at her earlier stage of carreer like Raaz….
Priyanka can do great job of seduction but apart from that she needs to act more……
Firstly, there is no doubt Ash is beautiful…but in a fake kind of way. she should stick to modelling. Rani can act and would’ve been much better for Abhi. My personal fav remains Preity Zinta for being natural, talented and honest!
kajol is & will always be the best
