Ram Gopal Verma’s latest muse is on a high after sharing frame with the legend of Indian cricket, Kapil Dev. Nisha Kothari was in an awe of the great all-rounder after shooting for a commercial with him at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai.
Nisha Kothari was struck by the simplicity and greatness of Kapil Dev who even offered to teach her the game as she had minimal knowledge about it. “He is a legend and I never thought that I would share the same frame with Kapilji. I am not a cricket fan, but like any other Indian I get invariably interested in the game if India is playing, says Nisha. Talking about Kapil’s humble and gentle nature, she added, “Kapilji is a very sweet person. He came up to me and told me that ‘I will train you in cricket.’ Even girls play cricket, and you should know about the game. I readily agreed to learn cricket from him, because you can’t say no to Kapilji.”
Nisha Kothari is currently shooting for Ram Gopal Verma Ke Sholay where she plays a different version of Basanti in the form of auto-rickshaw driver Ghungroo.
