Shilpa Shetty calls up Jade Goody and wishes her well
Relations between Celebrity Big Brother contestants Jade Goody and Shilpa Shetty seem to be getting back on the right track.
Jade Goody recently left the Bigg Boss house in India and went back to London after being diagnosed with Cancer. Shilpa, who is currently hosting the reality show, called her up and tried to console her. Says a friend of Shilpa’s, “She called her on the phone and had a long emotional chat with her.”
When Shilpa was asked about this, she said, “I was really sad, it’s a tough time for her and I hope she’s able to cope with this anguish. My prayers and wishes are with her and her family. I am just glad she came to India and has taken back some good memories, peoples perceptions of her have changed for the better here. I spoke to her and she was happy at least on that front. But was scared, hope things are better for her, it has been a tough 18 months.”
Jade Goody caused an outcry back in January 2007 when she racially abused Shilpa Shetty while the two were contestants on UK TV show Celebrity Big Brother; a show which Shilpa went on to win.
