Shree Ashtavinayak Ltd.’s ‘Kidnap’ is special in many ways because it stars the Bollywood macho Sanjay Dutt, new heartthrob Imran Khan (Aamir Khan’s nephew who made his debut in the recently released ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’) and the cute lass Minissha Lamba (who was lately seen in Yash Raj’s recent release ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’) in the leading roles. Besides them, Rahul Dev, Vidya Malvade and Reemma Lagoo too have been roped in to the stars’ list. The coveted singer turned VJ turned film actress Sophie Choudhary and Raj Zutshi make their special appearances. Sanjay Gadhvi, the man who has given the blockbusters like Dhoom and Dhoom 2 earlier, moors the belts to direct this venture. The films talks about the power fray between a young boy who kidnaps the girl and girl’s father.
Storyline:
Sonia’s (Minissha Lamba) parents were divorced when she was just 10 years old. Now she resides with her mother, Mallika (Vidya Malvade) and her nani (grandmother). A week before her 18th birthday, she is abducted.
Vikrant Raina (Sanjay Dutt) is the world’s richest Indian. A strapping business magnate, who is divorced, lives in the New York. He is the president of Raina Inc. The abductor (Kabir) contacts only Vikrant to let him know that his daughter is in his possession.

Kabir is not interested to talk to any one else than Vikrant. Vikrant takes the flight to India to save his daughter from Kabir.
Kabir has set some certain tasks, which Vikrant has to do. And the most blood raising and suspense filled thing is that there is a clue at the end of each task, which Vikrant does. And each attempt, he dolls up, takes him close to his daughter, Sonia. The real drama unzips beyond the actual task. Let’s wait for the release to know how far a father could go to save his daughter’s life from a kidnaper?

Release Date:
The film is slated for 2nd October, 2008 release all over on the days of Eid.
