The Ranbir Kapoor starrer Bachna Ae Haseeno seems to have done well in the United States as it opened at an impressive slot of number 23.
The Yash Raj release collected $322,431 showing on 71 screens with a per screen average of $4,541. However, speculation is that the film will drop collections on a huge scale in its second week.
The week’s other big Bollywood release, Salman Khan headlined God Tussi Great Ho also performed weakly. Opening at number 36, it managed to collect only $121,432 for distributors Eros. Showing on 2 screens less than Bachna Ae Haseeno, it’s per screen average was much lower… $1,759.
All in all, with so much money riding on two mega starrers… the outcome is that both films have flopped in USA.
I watched the film Bachna Ae Haseeno. It was a typical indian movie
but Ranbir is a very fine actor and I am sure he will do justice
to any kind of role.
